THE COMPANY, THE ROLE
Having established themselves as a niche manufacturer of heavy machinery, their sales dynamic is truly unique. The modern workshop employs top tradesmen and engineering professionals to manufacture specialist equipment for the global building materials industries. Projects are all customized to individual requirements and values can tip over the million dollar mark. The majority of business comes from return clients and warm leads.
Currently the business has existing clients in 60 countries globally and this position will require some international travel. This role is far from transactional with no broad sales funnels, expect to engage with clients at a technical and consultative level. You will work closely on fewer leads to act as a intermediary between your design team and the client, assessing needs and collaboratively coming up with proposals and action plans. Travel will be required to enhance the relationship with clients, you can expect anywhere from 2 to 10 weeks away from home a year.

This position has been newly created to expand market coverage. You will join a small and experienced team who want to see you exceed. This role is “fully end-to-end” you won’t disappear once the contract has been signed, you will remain engaged throughout the entire manufacturing and installation process.

UP TO THE CHALLENGE?
We are looking for a proven sales professional with a background in engineering and machinery manufacturing. You must be able to demonstrate your experience in longer sales cycles with high value projects. Ideally you will have worked as an Engineer and hold a professional tertiary qualification.
You will be well presented and professional, have excellent communication skills and be familiar with CRM’s and the Microsoft Office suite. Working across borders with various cultures will require someone who understands international sales.
