Senior Food Technologists – Dairy (Multiple Roles!)

The Roles: Food Technologists are in demand! Whether you are looking for permanent full-time or fixed-term contracts – we may have a great opportunity for you. 
Our clients are located in north waikato/south auckland and are manufacturers in dairy commodity products as well as nutritional dairy products, including infant formula. 

These roles will be responsible for managing new product development workstreams needed for our clients or their contract manufacturing customers.  This includes overseeing the day-to-day operational requirements for planned production in a wet process spray drying plant and subsequent project management work associated with NPD.  As required you will provide specialist technical knowledge and support to other departments across the organisation. 

Requirements: In these specialist NPD roles, the ideal candidates will have a significant level of experience in dairy product development, preferably in nutritional dairy or infant formula, although expertise in commodities dairy product development will also be beneficial. You will be a good communicator, able to work in a team including collaborating with other departments.  With a number of key projects already lined up, you will need to have proven project and time management skills, having successfully developed and launched similar products before. 
 
Ideally you will possess the following skills, experience, and qualifications: 
 

  • Degree/Masters in Food or Process Technology, Food Science, or similar 
  • 3+ years food/dairy technology / NPD experience 
  • Experience in formulation and introduction of nutritional dairy / infant formula  
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements including FSANZ, GB, Chinese regulations 
  • Fluent Mandarin advantageous though not critical 
  • Clear communication and ability to work in a team
