Our client, who is the largest building material supplier and one of the largest listed companies in New Zealand, is now looking for a Shift Maintainer Operator to join their team in Penrose, Auckland. Working alongside a team of seven, including your Team Leader, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on equipment and operating the plant. This role is based on a four days on, four days off, shift roster. This consists of two twelve-hour day shifts and two twelve-hour night shifts.
As part of the leading organisation in the building industry, your ability to follow processes accurately and correctly and your commitment to health and safety will be a key ingredient to the success of the team.
This role will ideally suit a machine operator or tradesperson (in manufacturing or similar) who has exposure to or recently become qualified in maintenance engineering. Although extensive maintenance experience is not required, you will need to have good mechanical aptitude – this is an excellent opportunity for those who are seeking to step into a more technical role.
Due to the unique shift pattern, the successful candidate will be compensated for with a very attractive package that is normally awarded to well experienced engineers. If you are willing to work the slightly unorthodox hours, this could be your time machine to enjoy the lifestyle you’ll have in 5 years’ time right now and get a head start in life.
If you are already an established engineer who is looking for a change of scenery we would also love to hear from you.
