This is a Wellington-based role with a construction contractor specializing in bespoke interior fit-outs backed by an impressive client list and a steady flow of work stemming from their close ties with all the major banks, blue chip corporations and numerous government clients whom are always on the move.
We are looking for a bit of an all-rounder on this one in that we need someone who is happy to manage the overall project itself whilst still being capable in some hands-on aspects of a site-based role, can work effectively with sub-contractors and can pull it together and pitch to client when need be. The role will cover a wide scope of responsibility, so ideally you’ll be cool under pressure and can manage your own time wisely.
Some of what we are looking for:
-Trade background, preferably with a qualification
-Construction Project Management experience
-A local network of dependable subbies would be a huge plus
-The ability to program and run site operations to smooth outcomes
-A tidy, presentable, well-spoken nature for frequent client visits
-Relationship management skills which you will ideally use to retain clients and drive repeat business
