Terminal Supervisor

A classic hands-on role for an operation’s professional. Dealing with a variation of management tasks and responsibilities.
  
Wellington region based – Operations – Tankage – Maintenance

One of New Zealand’s larger energy storage companies is looking for an Operational professional to assist in the running of a new facility.

An overview of the role is to supervise the day-to-day operational tasks, storage and load out of a volatile product and maintain product quality. Plan and coordinate operational tasks and activity on site, managing staff and contractor workloads.
  
In order to be successful, you will have had a number of years’ experience in a large plant or terminal operations role and preferably will have some of the following attributes:
  • Proven practical operational experience, such as in a large plant or similar hazardous environment.
  • Strong understanding or experience in the oil industry or related industry, particularly with the handling of hazardous fluids.
  • Proven experience in supervising staff and contractors
  • Sound problem solving skills
  • Must possess HSNO Approved Handler Certificate, valid full Driver’s licence and be Accredited Shore Officer, Testing Officer and Work Permit Signatory/Gas Tester

  

The position is a part of the Terminal Operations Team and you will deputize for the Operations Manager as required. Full training will be provided to the successful applicant, allowing them to grow further within the company.
