As an Automation Engineer you will be able to demonstrate experience across a range of platforms commonly used and Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Schneider, and Wonderware will be most relevant.
Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally is required for project commissioning. This is estimated to be at about the 5 to 6 weeks annually and fluctuating between a few days away at a time to sometimes weeks away depending on the job.
- Control Systems Design, Programming, FAT & SAT, and commissioning automation projects
- PLC, HMI & SCADA e.g., Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, Wonderware
- Experience with VSD’s and communication protocols
- Identifying technical design risks and providing solutions

- Customer automation support and troubleshooting
This is a rare role to come up in the Hawkes Bay and within this company. You will have the security of an employer with a strong reputation and global client base who have many longstanding employees including graduates who have never felt the need to leave in order to develop their careers. This is an opportunity to work on interesting and large projects with the element of travel for commissioning trips.
You will be paid for every hour you work but overtime is generally only required when on site. The company offer fully paid health, life & income protection insurances, standard Kiwisaver contributions, and a food allowance is paid when you go away on commissioning trips.
