Our client is a major player in the international infant formula and dairy nutrition market.  Their state-of-the-art manufacturing plant based south of Auckland (commutable from Auckland or Hamilton) is RMP certified, meeting local and international food safety compliance standards, and is manufacturing for these markets.
 
This fast-growing business is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer for a 12 month period to support their quality and compliance team. Reporting to the Quality and Compliance Lead, as the incumbent, you will play a key role in providing support and guidance to the operations team. 
 
This role will primarily support the company’s day to day management of the systems and processes for the control and assessment of ingredients and finished products to ensure that standards defined in the Quality systems are met.  This means compliance to RMP, HACCP, Halal and OMAR requirements, handling of Edecs and Ecerts, and preparation of C of A’s etc.
 
As such you will have prior experience in a high-risk dairy/beverage environment, current knowledge of quality regulations and be familiar with manufacturing processes.
 
This role will suit candidates that have:

  • Sound background or understanding of Food Microbiology and Quality Assurance
  • Tertiary qualification with a major in Chemistry, Microbiology or Food Science
  • Minimum 1 year Quality Assurance experience in the food or dairy industry
  • ISO/HACCP experience
  • Excellent investigation, report writing and corrective actions experience
  • Good understanding of GMP
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
  • Deliver results within tight deadlines
