Consultancy Project Manager

The Firm 
This is a multidisciplinary consultancy with capabilities across all of construction, infrastructure and transportation. They have overseen a lot of growth within their Auckland team and they keep winning projects. Clients exist across a variety of public and private sectors meaning that project size and scope varies between $2-50M+, currently with several projects across seismic strength work and greenfield developments within the vertical construction space, they are looking to grow the team.

The Role 
This role will see you take complete responsibility for external and internal clients, including programme management, commercial negotiations and contract management, design management and procurement. As an expert in your field and with in-depth knowledge of the Wellington market, you will be at the top of your game in helping the organisation maintain and grow the business. As a pivotal member of the leadership team, you will be a problem solver and work closely with the board of directors.

This role requires:

  • Extensive experience as a Project Manager for a consultancy operating in the construction industry
  • Experienced working with, or for contractors
  • Seismic or greenfield development experience
  • Land development knowledge
  • Highly technical background – degree qualified preferred  
  • Analytical – able to understand specifications, drawings and formulate work programmes
  • The ability to drive and achieve deadlines 
  • Capable of communicating with anyone, from the board to an onsite contractor
