The role is a leadership one, where you would be driving a small existing team. You’ll be the one meeting with clients to assess their needs and walk them through what’s required so excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. Another key aspect and which also makes the role attractive, is the desire for the company to have this division developed further. Therefore, for those that have the attributes and desire, you would have the autonomy to do so.

Based in the sunny Bay of Plenty, our client is a medium sized industrial engineering consulting firm who specialise in delivering practical engineering solutions to their heavy manufacturing / processing clientele. With their mobile and responsive team, they tackle projects across a variety of industries and locations. The projects are also varied from new builds to process improvement and brown field projects. This also includes maintenance and reliability projects for large sites.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven heavy industry project experience (ideally EPC)
  • Technically strong – Power supplies, Drives and Automation etc
  • Solid NZ experience
  • Project management skills
