Our client is a global leader in innovative window and door opening solutions for access, safety and security. With New Zealand and overseas locations, their products are household names throughout New Zealand and internationally, with New Zealand designed and manufactured products. With growth and expansion comes the need for additional people and we are looking for a Fitter Machinist to join the Auckland based team. You will be trained up to be responsible for repairing, servicing, assembling and maintaining tool dies, jigs, fixtures and fittings.

Specifically, you will work closely with an experienced toolmaker to upskill to:

· Undertake tool die making and maintenance
· Be involved in contributing to new tool dies designs
· Diagnose and troubleshoot any tool die issues
· Undertake tool die quality control checks
· Be involved in tool gauge calibration

To be successful in the role you will:

· Be a Trade qualified Fitter Machinist (or Toolmaker)
· Have proven machining experience working with high tolerances (some experience with tool making would be beneficial)
· Have experience working in Lean manufacturing environment
· Have proven experience with technical trouble shooting

Personally, you will be a proven team player, committed and motivated to completing work in an accurate and timely manner with ‘out of the box’ problem solving skills.
