Job Description:

This is a great career opportunity to build your commercial site and project experience with a main contractor who has large projects nationally. This role would suit a construction or engineering Graduate who has a couple of years of industry experience and looking to progress into project management

The Role:

Reporting to the national operations manager your work will be varied and split between the head office in Wellington and construction sites across New Zealand. In the head office you will assist the team with project planning, document control and project administration. While on site your work will be varied and could include quality assurance, problem-solving, facilitating design changes, prepare site reports, supervising construction work, supporting clients to resolve problems, and provide clients surety on construction progress.

In this role you will gain a broad range of experience which will provide a fantastic base to build on your project management career.

Occasional travel required.

What we are looking for:

A motivated construction professional with a passion for construction. The role suits someone early in their career, or a recent graduate who already has related construction experience. You will bring:

  • Relevant engineering or construction qualification gained from New Zealand
  • Some experience working in the New Zealand construction sector
  • Ability to understanding engineering drawings and specifications
  • Able to work well on site and in an office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident personality
  • Experience working well in team environments
