Laboratory / QC Team Leaders and Managers
As experienced technical recruitment consultants, we work closely with our clients in the pharmaceutical, food, dairy, chemical, petrochemical, and contract testing industries and are routinely asked to find appropriately qualified and experienced Laboratory Supervisors and Managers to lead and coach teams working in their testing facilities. These clients are located all around New Zealand and perform some or all of the chemistry or biology tests relating to food/ dairy, chemical, pharmaceutical, water or environmental testing.
Because of this, we at TRS are always on the look out for Team Leaders to help fill vacant positions in the industry. Typically, we are asked to look for candidates with strong technical expertise in either analytical chemistry, microbiology, immunology or cell culture testing AND a passion for leading and coaching highly diverse technical teams. Additional experience in method validation, procurement of lab equipment and general experience working within and running accredited laboratories are also favourable skills and experience that our clients often look for.
Our clients often look for Laboratory Analysts with varying degrees of experience across the follow generic criteria:
• Tertiary qualification in Science
• Practical experience working in an IANZ accredited and/or GMP/ GLP certified laboratory
• Experienced in the broad range of chemistry or biological testing procedures across one or more of the following industries:
o Food
o Dairy
o Pharmaceuticals and Nutritional Supplements
o Chemical products
o Environmental and Water testing
• Laboratory leadership or management experience
• Proven track record of developing staff
• Project management experience
• Excellent attitude – teamwork, team fit and a high level of drive and enthusiasm
