The Company
Our client is a leading international Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) vendor, providing in-class Laboratory Automation software solutions for laboratories in a variety of industries for nearly 20 years.

The Role
The successful candidate will receive full training on the lab system as a user and coder before stepping into the LIMS Implementation Consultant role full time. As LIMS Implementation Consultant, you will be working with clients to ensure a smooth user experience from implementation, through to configuration, testing, documenting, training, and support. This role will see you working on customers’ sites and as such you will be expected to travel for up to a week at a time, and up to 20 weeks in a year. Most clients are Auckland-based so the preference is for the candidate to be based in Auckland, however there is some flexibility to work in other large NZ cities.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with the ability to work with customers to solve issues and train them. You will need to have had training or experience with programming, software, or IT, and ideally you will have worked in a laboratory.
In addition, to be considered for this role you will have most or all the following –

  • Tertiary qualification in Science or Information Technology
  • LIMS experience in a consulting role
  • Experience with laboratory processes
  • SQL, programming, database, IT systems experience or willingness to learn
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Organised and self-motivated, able to work unsupervised
  • Driver’s license and ability to travel for up to 1 week at a time an up to 20 weeks a year essential
