Maintenance Fitter

About the company:

Based in the Wellington region, our client is large, well-established food manufacture, who export to over 60 countries.

About the role:

You will be responsible for carrying out plant and machinery maintenance, running repairs on machinery and the overhaul of industrial equipment, including, packaging and deboning machinery. Therefore, conducting preventive and corrective actions, which in turn will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the site.

Core requirements:

The ideal candidate would have 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience, but we are open to candidates with 3 years’ relevant experience, as our client is willing to provide training to a candidate who has a positive attitude toward evolving their skill set.

  • Relevant qualification
  • Preventative and breakdown maintenance experience required
  • Proven pneumatic and hydraulic experience
  • Experience with packaging and deboning machines
  • Experience with fitting, turning, welding and fabrication
  • Skilled in fault finding and problem-solving
  • Able to work autonomously

Hours:

Our client operates 6-days a week and have one day shift and one-night shift position available.

The day shift will be Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday 5.00am to 5.00pm, the choice is yours.

The night shift position is Monday to Friday 3.30pm to 3.00am.
