This iconic Dairy company are on the hunt for a proven Maintenance Fitter with experience in the hygiene-critical dairy sector. STAYING ON TOP OF MAINTENANCE

This hands-on maintenance runs on a 4-on 4-off rotation, 6 am-6 pm. On shift, you will work alongside the electrical team to perform prescribed maintenance tasks on a range of dairy product processing and packaging machinery. Expect to work on pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, mechanical and rotating equipment. You will also be handy in the workshop being able to utilize power/hand tools, basic TIG welding and operate manual mills/lathes.
 
During the winter shut period, you will switch to Monday to Friday days to be part of major repairs and inspection of machinery.

UP TO THE CHALLENGE??

For this fast-paced role, we need a reliable and skilled Fitter who has worked in the dairy industry. To be eligible for this position, must tick the following boxes:

  • Hold an NZ Trade Cert in Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering
  • Preventative approach and competent PC/CMMS user
  • Skilled faultfinding/RCA
  • Experienced fitting, assemble and basic machining & TIG
  • Health and safety leadership
  • Tidy work habits and house-proud

WHAT’S ON OFFER?

Working in Dairy is known for high standards and high pay – this role is no different! Base earnings are dependent on qualifications and skill level but a qualified tradesperson will be earning well over $120-140k before overtime. You will also receive company life insurance and supplemented medical. All shift workers receive 5 weeks of annual leave a year – pretty sharp!!
