Maintenance Planner (Electrical OR Mechanical)

What will you be doing?
As the role title suggests, you will be doing Maintenance Planning and Scheduling.

If you have either an Electrical or Mechanical background prior to being a Planner then read on as there are positions for both disciplines on offer here.

The work you do will improve plant equipment performance and reliability in a cost-effective way.

You will plan, coordinate, and schedule labour, parts and materials, tools & equipment, permissions, specialised documentation, and equipment access for maintenance work.

The maintenance trade staff you liaise with will love having you on-board as you will allow them to be more productive by delivering to them a work package that anticipates and eliminates potential delays for them.

Personally, you will be someone who takes initiative, drives for results, and provides leadership within your areas of expertise. 

For your 40 hours a week you will be given a high base salary and Kiwisaver. Plus, the 15% bonus scheme will add some very healthy cream on the top for you. Last year bonuses were paid out at more than 200%, and they are again on-track for another bumper year.

The Company
This multinational company is a large heavy industrial manufacturer south of yet commutable from Auckland, so you will be going against the traffic if you are coming from Auckland, and they do have many people driving there from the Waikato region too if you are from that direction.

This manufacturer is very well established, stable, and there is on-going high demand for what they produce, so they not going anywhere.

People within the company are valued and developed, and an advantage of working in a large company like this is that there genuinely are career progression possibilities here too.

Does this sound like you?

  • Electrical or Mechanical Tertiary or Trade background
  • Maintenance Planning & Scheduling experience
  • SAP experience or experience with another CMMS
  • Ability to plan, organise, and delegate responsibilities to others
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong computer skills, know your way around systems and spreadsheets
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
