Our client is a well-established Life Sciences company who supplies raw materials to pharmaceutical businesses across the globe. They are currently looking to appoint a Production Supervisor within its Auckland facility.
Reporting to the Head of Production, you will oversee day to day production and manage a team of 10 production staff which involves mentoring and hands-on leading on the production floor. As such you will be organising production to meet incoming order requirements on a daily basis, while ensuring Health & Safety and Quality standards are adhered to.
You, the Candidate
We are looking for an enthusiastic, practical and positive thinking candidate that wants to make a real difference. With our clients growing at a significant rate, this role will suit candidates that enjoy working in a dynamic and changing environment. You will also be a team player with developed communication and interpersonal skills. Ideally you enjoy being hands-on as you will spend most of your time on the production floor working alongside your team.
To be considered, you will ideally possess the following attributes:
- Comfortable working in an abattoir and handling animal by-products
- Production supervisory experience in a highly regulated industry
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with all departments and levels (production staff through to senior management)
- Physically fit and able to heavy lift up to 25kg
- Able to work varied hours (either AM or PM shifts)
- Own reliable transport and full driver license
- Proficient in MS Office
- Positive attitude and ability to motivate staff
