In this role you will support the front end Engineering and Design team through design coordination, risk management, logistics planning, procurement and planning of new projects. You will then support the delivery phase with design solutions, quality assurance and manage design changes / coordination continually looking at value engineer options. As a specialist support to the Design Manager and Project Managers your work will be broad, and you will be required to problem solve and build great relationships with contractors, consultants, and clients. 

Projects could be locally or regionally based and the role could be based in the Wellington or Auckland office with occasional travel to sites. 

We are looking for someone keen to grow their career with a business who can offer long term progression, candidates should have the following:

  • Engineering or Construction Degree or Diploma
  • Over 3 years engineering or construction experience 
  • Experience working on complex building or infrastructure projects in NZ (or related market)
  • Ability to understanding the design process and engineering drawings and specifications
  • Able to work well on site and in the office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated and professional approach
