The Company:
Our client is a fairly new but established manufacturer of medical devices for chronic wound care and repair. From humble beginnings, they have become competitive contributors to the growing global wound care market and are developing additional products to complement their current range.
The Opportunity:
A fixed term vacancy currently exists for an experienced QC Analyst in their product and facility testing lab.  Reporting to the QC Supervisor, the successful applicant will join a small team of qualified Analysts undertaking all in-process and product testing. This covers a broad range of activities covering micro, analytical and physical testing so you certainly won’t be bored. This is a fixed term 3-6 month contract (likely to be at the higher end)
You, the Candidate:
As a preferred candidate, you will be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will be working closely with colleagues across the company. You will also have at least 5 years hands-on commercial laboratory experience and worked with a range of test methods, preferably with a microbiological bent.  Method validation experience is a bonus as is environmental monitoring and endotoxin testing.  Ideally you have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a science field, preferably Chemistry, Biochemistry or Microbiology
  • Practical experience working in an analytical laboratory testing to GLP/GMP
  • Method validation experience
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good report writing skills
  • Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised

This position is full time 3-6 month contract and runs ‘normal office hours’ though there is the requirement to be flexible on this and to work a few hours every few weekends.
