This multinational company is a large heavy industrial manufacturer south of Auckland, so you will be going against the traffic if you are coming from Auckland, and they do have many people driving there from the Waikato region too if you are from that direction.
This manufacturer is very well established, and there is on-going high demand for what they produce so you will have job stability.
An advantage of working in a large and global company like this is that there will be career progression possibilities. Either on this site, on one of their other New Zealand sites, or in other countries.
For your 40 hours a week you will receive a high base salary and Kiwisaver. Plus, the 15% bonus scheme will add some very healthy cream on the top for you. Last year bonuses were paid out at more than 200%, and they are again on track for another bumper year.
What will you be doing?
As the sole Reliability Engineer you will be doing life cycle plant asset management, risk management, trying to reduce or eliminate losses, and making improvements to the maintenance and reliability of the plant and equipment.
You will get out and about doing preventative maintenance inspections and RCA’s with the goal of making reliability improvements.
You will be a key contributor to Business Plan strategies and implementation and report on OEE and up time performance.
You will assist in capital improvement projects and provide input into the long-term capital budget.
You will also keep an eye on the future by looking into possible technology and equipment improvements the company could benefit from and making relevant recommendations to the company in this sphere.
Personally, you will be someone who works independently, takes initiative, and drives for results.
Engineering Team: You will report to the Plant Site Manager and work alongside Maintenance Planners and a Maintenance Engineer who manages the trade staff.
Plant Equipment: You will work on large, heavy, industrial equipment. Both fixed and mobile plant equipment. So, experience with heavy vehicles, centrifugal pumps, conveyors, bearings, hydraulics, and rotating equipment would be relevant.
