Reservoir Engineer


Our client is a well-known and respected energy industry player, with offices around the globe. The New Zealand operation currently concentrates on E&P and as part of their planning for the future, they are keen to add an Intermediate level Reservoir Engineer to their New Plymouth based team.

The job.

In this position, you will be responsible for running reservoir models, keeping them updated and providing information to other teams in the business.
Specifically, you will:

  • Undertake Reservoir Simulations
  • Assist in Well & Reservoir performance analysis
  • Assist in Reservoir Management
  • Create, deliver and maintain dynamic reservoir models for all of the above
  • Work with the Operations team to optimise production
  • Work with the Exploration team to evaluate new ventures

As a Reservoir engineer, you will know what the job entails.

The person
We are looking for:

  • A person tertiary qualified in a suitable discipline such as Geology, Petroleum Engineering or Reservoir Engineering
  • Someone with 5 to 8 years’ experience as a Reservoir Engineer
  • A person with experience in creating and running Reservoir models and simulations
  • Someone capable of working independently but still being part of diverse teams
  • A person who pays attention to the details, someone who is adaptable and happy working within an ever-changing workload and environment
