Risk and Compliance Advisor

Great opportunity for an engineering professional experienced in or has a thorough knowledge of HSSE practices and wants to implement them within NZ’s largest energy logistics company.

We are after a Risk & Compliance Advisor to support and champion operational excellence in safety and compliance. The Advisor provides guidance and support to ensure the company’s Health, Safety, Security and Environmental framework and activities undertaken, are compliant and continues to drive continuous improvement in safety. 
The company’s HSSE framework includes: Safety Management System, Major Hazard Facility Safety Cases and Major Accident Prevention Policies, Control of Work, Process Safety and other quality management elements. Support for HSSE systems includes HAZOP, IMS, Take Action, ISNet World and Quantate. The successful candidate will be managing, supporting and monitoring HSSE & Risk framework and programmes.
Applicants will have some of the following attributes and skills:   

  • Proven experience (min. 3 years) in or thorough knowledge of HSSE disciplines including AS/NZS:4801/4804 and process safety
  • Proven experience in or thorough knowledge of risk management methodologies and Quality systems
  • Understanding of major hazards facilities and process safety
  • Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental regulation
  • Familiarity with information technology and risk management or safety systems (or both)
  • Well developed analytical and problem solving skills

  

The position is a part of the Risk and Compliance team who provide technical support and assurance to the business, providing practical and best practice advice, systems and tools, with development and coaching as required.
