Sales Development Manager

Watermetrics is a division of Arthur D. Riley & Co Ltd (ADR). ADR help keep communities and businesses running with utility technology products, services, and expertise since 1909. That means we offer deep expertise in the technology that keeps our customers operating effectively in the field, from high voltage power distribution, to water revenue metering, system control and data acquisition, to parking management systems.

We work with energy utilities, water authorities, local authorities, manufacturing, and other businesses, as well as farming and agriculture operations. Watermetrics is a newly created division and with there being plenty of work on, and numerous new and ongoing projects, there is a need for a Sales and Development Manager to lead the team in Christchurch.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading the Watermetrics Business Unit.

Specifically, you will:

  • Plan, direct and oversee daily operations
  • Develop, build, and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Set, monitor, and report on annual budget
  • Oversee technical specifications and tendering processes
  • Lead, develop and manage the team

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification
  • At least 5 years’ experience in agricultural, utilities or water sector
  • Proven experience managing a team
  • Experience creating relationships and selling ideas and concepts

Personally, you will be a proven team leader with excellent communication skills, being able to lead and direct the team and create strong working relationships.

Travel is a component of this position, and as such you will need a full, clean New Zealand drivers’ licence.
