About the company
Our client is a well-established supplier of agricultural products for New Zealand’s wide range of primary sectors. Based in East Tamaki, Auckland, their experienced and technically skilled team provide product support and expertise to their customers across the country.
About the role
Due to continued growth for the company, our client is needing a Snr Laboratory Analyst to join their existing team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this is a hands-on testing position where you will be involved with raw material and finished product testing using various analytical test methods such as HPLC, GC and wet chemistry techniques. You will also get involved with equipment qualifications and test method validations as well as preparing batch documentation and records for product release.
With their facility working 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday, this role will require some flexibility from you to, along with your colleagues, provide QC cover during these hours.  The role is a full-time position working 40 hours a week.
Skills/ Experience
We are looking for a solution-focussed, mature and positive thinking candidate having high attention to detail, able to self-manage their workload and to be fully proficient in using analytical equipment within this GLP laboratory. You will need to be self-motivated and possess good communication skills as you will work closely with the quality and operations teams. You’ll have strong troubleshooting skills.
Ideally you will have the following attributes and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification (BSc, NZCS or equivalent)
  • Min 5 years practical experience working in an analytical laboratory ideally within pharmaceutical manufacturing 
  • Strong experience with HPLC, GC and wet chemistry including method development and validation
  • Project management experience
  • Working knowledge of GLP/GMP
  • Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
