Senior Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer with CPEng registration (or working towards) who has experience working with mechanical plant and piping, and proven experience working with design codes ASME B31.3, NZS 3404, and AS 3990?

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be involved in delivering practical design, project management, and maintenance engineering solutions for heavy manufacturing/processing projects.

The Role.
The role is responsible for designing and project managing heavy rotating and static equipment (everything from pressure vessels, piping and boilers), to required standards, and taking these designs through to commissioning on site and client handover.

Specifically, you will:

  • Undertake on site visits to understand client’s needs
  • Design engineering proposals and solutions
  • Oversee fabrication, including site installation supervision and commissioning as required.
  • Support and mentor junior staff

The Person.
To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be a tertiary qualified Mechanical Engineer
  • Have CPEng registration or working towards
  • Have proven experience at a senior level designing heavy industrial plant working with design codes ASME B31.3, NZS 3404, and AS 3990
  • Have proven contractor management experience

You will be a self-starter, dedicated to providing the best solutions and information possible, skilled in working to tight deadlines and of course, able to develop good working relationships with people at all levels.
