Senior Project Engineer
Our client is an OEM design and build company specialising in automated bulk material handling and packaging machinery. With growth and a full order book, comes the need for additional people and we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the Hawke’s Bay based team.
The Role
You will be involved in project engineering bespoke automation projects from concept to completion.
Specifically, you will:
- Liaise with clients and customers
- Review engineering designs
- Oversee the manufacture, installation and commissioning
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and within project specifications
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers
To be successful in the role you will have:
- A tertiary mechanical engineering qualification
- Project Engineering experience at a senior level (food industry / packaging automation experience)
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Proficiency working with ERP software
- Excellent verbal and written communications abilities
You’ll need to be innovative and be able to think outside the square, have good time management skills and enjoy sharing your knowledge and mentoring less experience engineers.
