On a typical day
This is primarily a hands-on role but with a large focus on customer service. Working out of the Petone Workshop you will manage a steady flow of routine service requests, urgent repairs and post-sale customer enquiries. You will need a systematic approach to identifying electrical & mechanical faults and coming up with a practical solution to get your clients back up and running. You will also have the opportunity to get out in the field and meet clients & co-workers around NZ but without the extensive travel and odd hours that often come with Technician roles.
 
Beyond the daily practical tasks, this role has the added focus on the bigger picture. You will manage/plan your workload, develop & refine processes and procedures as well as make sure that your workspace is kept tidy & organised.
 
Does this sound like you?
We’re looking for a proven Technician with a history of servicing/repairing commercial/industrial machinery and appliances in customer-facing roles.

  • Mechanical & Electrical aptitude
  • Experience with industrial/commercial cleaning equipment is preferred
  • Diagnosing/fault-finding skills and good all-round hands-on skills
  • Tidy work habits / houseproud
  • Electrical Appliance Serviceperson (EAS) or EST
  • NZ driver’s licence
  • Self-starter – able to work autonomously
  • PC literate and comfortable using software systems
