Company?Our client is well-backed major player in the international nutraceutical and dairy nutrition market. Their state-of-the-art factory based in South Auckland/ North Waikato manufactures a range of nutritional products for people of all ages, from infant to adult.
Reporting to the GM Production, you will be responsible for leading and further developing a team of talented supervisors and operators in a dairy powder production plant. In addition to being pivotal delivering high quality products in line with the production schedule, you will be using your lean manufacturing knowledge to improve plant performance over time.
Shift hours will be 4on 4off rotating between 6am to 6pm days and 6pm to 6am nights from August to December and then move to 4on 4off staggered shifts between 5am and 10pm.
As a suitable candidate for this role, you will bring previous team management experience within a dairy powder manufacturing environment, with a proven ability to motivate, mentor and support your team. You will also have shown your ability to identify and drive lean manufacturing initiatives and have strong technical knowledge of food safety and environmental management systems.
To be suitable for this position you will need the following experience:
• A relevant tertiary engineering, technology or manufacturing qualification
• A minimum of 2 year’s management experience within the dairy industry
• Spray drying is experience essential
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational qualities
• Experience and knowledge of industry compliance requirements
• Strong focus on health & safety and continuous improvement
• Proven ability to work to tight deadlines
