Shift Manager – Finishing

To help with this, Whittaker’s are looking for additional Shift Manager to join their team. 
The role.
This role is all about meeting production and quality targets, through building and managing good teams of people. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Staff Management, including training of staff
  • Making sure SOP’s were in place and used by all
  • Ensuring everyone has quality and safety in the front of their minds
  • Ensuring a continuous Improvement mentality is adopted by all

Primarily, you are responsible for ensuring your staff meet deadlines and target and produce quality goods in a safe manner.
The role will be on a rotating shift pattern – 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday and 4pm to 2am, Monday to Thursday so you would need to be flexible and able to work both shifts.

The person.

We’re looking for an experienced Shift Manager who:

  • Is qualified in Production, Manufacturing, Quality or an allied field
  • Can show experience in managing staff – at least 3 years’ experience in Shift Management or similar positions is required
  • Has excellent communicator at all levels
  • Is able to carry out data analysis and prepare reports on performance, etc
  • Has excellent MS Office skills

Most important will be your skills in managing people in a high-speed production environment and in achieving production and with product quality front of mind.
