Storeperson – Engineering & Maintenance
This is a sole-charge role suited to someone who enjoys improving systems, organising inventory, and working closely with maintenance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Monday to Friday | 7:00am – 3:30pm | 40 hours per week
The Role
Working closely with the maintenance and engineering teams, you’ll manage the engineering stores and ensure inventory processes run smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing inventory for engineering spare parts and consumables
• Conducting regular stocktakes and identifying shortages
• Ordering parts, raising purchase orders, and liaising with suppliers / 3PL providers
• Setting and maintaining minimum stock levels
• Improving store layout and organisation for efficiency
• Receiving goods and unloading deliveries using a forklift
• Managing the chemical / dangerous goods store
• Ensuring accurate inventory records in the company’s ERP or inventory system
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical function within the maintenance team and refine how the stores operate.
About You
To succeed in this role you’ll bring:
- Experience in stores, inventory control, or warehouse operations
- Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment
- Strong skills using computerised inventory or ERP systems
- A current forklift licence
- The ability to work independently in a sole-charge role
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with maintenance teams
- A strong health and safety mindset
Experience managing engineering spare parts or maintenance stores would be highly advantageous.
