Our client is a well known and respected player in the New Zealand Electricity industry, looking after distribution networks on the East Coast and central North Island. To ensure sustainable, safe and maximum value of their assets, they are looking for a Strategic Asset Engineer to look after their electrical asset portfolio.
You will be responsible for the asset management strategy and identifying and forecasting asset management lifecycle.
Specifically, you will:
- Review existing, and create new, asset management strategies
- Oversee the inspection programme and the asset management information
- Identify condition related constraints
- Forecast and identify what assets to replace, and when
To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold an electrical engineering tertiary qualification
- Have at least 5 years’ experience working within the power industry
- Have experience working with asset management (preferred)
You will be a self-starter, dedicated to providing the best solutions and information possible, skilled in working to tight deadlines and of course, able to develop good working relationships with people at all levels. Being asset management focussed, you will be a logical thinker, readily able to manage asset management concepts.
