The Company:
Our client is a meat processing company in the Waikato, with strong steady growth in NZ and Australia. Over the past 25 years they have expanded to be one of NZ biggest companies in their area of expertise, and currently employ over 1000 workers covering all aspects of production.

Reporting to the management team, the Supervisor oversees the operations of staff, machinery and processes to ensure production targets are consistently met in compliance with standard operating procedures and standardised work practices. It is the Supervisor’s role to lead their business unit to ensure quality, health and safety requirements are met, efficiencies are upheld, and customer requirements are achieved.

As a Production Supervisor, you will be an experienced leader with the ability to motivate and lead a team of Leading Hands. You will also have experience in a meat processing environment.

As the successful candidate, are expected to have the following skills and experience

  • Leadership experience in the food manufacturing industry
  • Experience in the meat industry (highly advantageous) or FMCG
  • Project management skills
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills with all departments and levels (operators through to management), including external stakeholders
  • Positive attitude and ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Continuous improvement, production planning skills
  • Quality, health and safety experience
