Their Hamilton facility is a key contributor the international business who continue to invest in the improvement and expansion of this site.
 
The Opportunity
Following a recent resignation, we are seeking a Supply Chain Manager for our client. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is the most senior supply chain position with the NZ operations, covering all strategic aspects and day to day delivery for the purchasing, planning and distribution functions.  Managing a small team on site, the role ensures supplies of raw materials and finished goods are available within required timeframes and budgets. You will also have communication with our client’s international divisions, sourcing products from overseas for the local market, 3PL suppliers and customers, and toll manufacturers.
 
You, the Candidate:
You will have leadership level experience in Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment with oversight working with external contacts in sourcing and supplying materials. Your communication and relationship management skills will be to an advanced level and will your knowledge and experience with ERP systems. Ideally, you will have demonstrated your ability to identify opportunities for improvement and to facilitate those changes.
 
As a suitable candidate you will preferably have the following credentials:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification preferred plus some form of CPIM or APICS is even better
  • 10 years supply chain/logistics experience with some in an operational environment
  • At least 5 years leadership management level experience
  • Proven experience in using ERP systems to manage production planning schedules
  • Supplier management and negotiating experience
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills
  • Well developed interpersonal skills
  • If you’ve worked in a regulated environment such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, dairy or food then even better
