Senior QS / Contracts Manager

|Civil & Construction - Quantity Surveying|New Zealand

Our client is a Levin based national construction subcontractor. With large scale commercial projects both locally and around New Zealand. As part of their continued growth, they have created a new role and are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Contracts Manager to join the team.

The Role

  • Contract management – Working as a team to win work and managing through to final accounts.
  • Project Profitability – you will work closely with main contractors to ensure accurate pricing, manage cost escalations, procurement etc
  • NZ3910 Contract Compliance & performance monitoring
  • Levin based – some travel, but rarely overnight
  • Commercial Construction projects – clients are typically delivering multi-storey buildings


Experience Needed

  • Experienced as a Contracts Manager or experienced Quantity Surveyor
  • Detailed understanding of NZ Contracts – 3910 (NEC an advantage also)
  • Client Facing skills – it’s highly important to be build rapport with repeat customers
  • Self-started and motivated
  • Right to work in NZ – this company cannot support a visa application
