The Role:
Whittaker’s is on the hunt for an experienced Storeperson to help the warehouse team ensure efficient storage and safekeeping of raw materials, finished goods and returned goods. You will be responsible for operating forklifts, receiving inwards goods, unloading and loading trucks, picking and packaging orders for dispatch, accurately labelling, entering data into the ERP system as well as contributing to stock take / inventory control activities.

Hours are 8.00am – 5.30pm Tuesday to Friday, and 7.00am to 4.30pm on Saturdays.   

You, the Candidate:
Having worked in warehousing for a couple years, the ideal candidate for this role will be well rehearsed in handling inwards & outwards goods processes, leading by example to ensure the warehouse remains compliant with H&S and other food safety regulations, and possess a strong eye for detail in data entry and inventory control. Knowledge of food safety and quality standards is highly preferred.

You will also possess the following skills and attributes:

  • At least 1 years’ experience in a ‘Storeperson’ role within a busy manufacturing / FMCG environment (highly preferred)
  • Current Forklift License & Driver’s License
  • Strong H&S awareness
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn ERP system
  • Ability to self-manage and work autonomously
  • Organisational and prioritising skills
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with external and internal stakeholders
