Site Engineering Supervisor

|Manufacturing & Trades - Maintenance Engineers/Fitters|Hamilton

A well established and growing engineering company is looking for a mechanical trade qualified supervisor to join their team

The Role:

  • As Supervisor you will plan, schedule and then deliver a mixture of plant maintenance and upgrades to manufacturing businesses across the Waikato and South Auckland. 
  • Work is varied:Could be boilers and pipework, bridges, structures and plant upgrades including more detailed machinery.
  • Products are assembled in the workshop – welding/ fabrication and adjustments, before getting the team and equipment out to site – usually during a maintenance shut.
  • Some longer term projects, for large capital projects can involve more consistent presence at a particular site
  • 5-10 weeks away per year whilst performing the installations
  • Clients include heavy industry, food and dairy

About You / What’s on offer:

  • Trade qualified – ideally a strong welder/fabricator skills, or experienced fitter Fitter also good.
  • Ability to manage a team of up to 10 – 20 tradespeople
  • Work closely with other teams, including design
  • $45-50/hour + new Ford Ranger Ute, fit with Milwaukee tools
  • + live away allowances and shift allowances if applicable
