Here is an exciting chance to work for a reputable company who excel in delivering a diverse range of work across commercial construction, ranging anywhere between $2m and $200m, including Kainga Ora developments, Airport infrastructure work, community and healthcare and education facilities.
The Role
They are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their well balanced team. In this busy role, you will work closely with the commercial manager and senior estimator, oversee junior QS’s and be responsible for the cost control of projects from initiation at pre-construction/ECI phase, through construction delivery to completion. Based in Auckland, you will work across a range of projects, typically up to 4 at any one time depending on size and scale, so you will need to be adept at managing multiple tasks and workstreams simultaneously.
You will also have the opportunity to guide, train and mentor junior staff to help build a cohesive and talented team by sharing your industry experience.
Role Requirements
Senior level experience on commercial construction projects up to $50m
Relevant industry qualifications and or certifications (Degree, Diploma or RICS/MZIQS)
Autonomous – Highly motivated and self driven
Proficient with reporting software such as JOBPAC, CAT, COINS and Cheops
Decisive and efficient decision making with a flexible attitude
Able to effectively communicate with everyone from the site team to senior leadership or external stakeholders
