The Job

Reporting to an experienced Manager you will mainly focus on establishment and delivery phase of a diverse range of projects from interior fit outs, building extensions, re-cladding, and seismic upgrades through to building services and plant upgrades. Projects will be typically on live operating sites for major businesses and so a key part will be the ability to build great relationships with clients and contractors. Key responsibilities will include procurement, sub-contract preparation, cost managing and reporting, on site measurements, and managing payments and variations.

This role could base based in Auckland or Wellington as it will be supporting projects nationally and may require travelling a day or two a month to regional sites. 

About you:

  • 3 plus years Quantity Surveying experience in New Zealand (or a similar market)
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial construction 
  • Knowledge of the New Zealand contracts and construction methods preferred 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on fast paced and diverse projects. 
  • Related Quantity Surveying qualifications
