The Company:
Our client is a New Zealand owned business based in South Auckland. Founded over 30 years ago, they are now a well-established business providing a range of agricultural products to their strong customer base. With a modern production facility, R&D and testing laboratory, the company continues to grow to support the customers.
 
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Quality Manager with a strong background in both QA and QC (analytical) within a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, animal health, agricultural compounds etc.) to lead the day-to-day functions of our client’s Quality team.  Reporting to the National Technical Manager, the role will work cross-functionally with other Ops/Supply Chain and R&D teams to ensure efficient flow of raw materials into production and final product release to meet or exceed customer supply expectations. Your team will also support the R&D of new products, test method development and validation and supporting customer service questions.
 
You, the candidate:
As a preferred candidate you will have a strong background in QA/QC within a regulated industry, ideally one running to cGMP. You should have a working knowledge of analytical (HPLC) testing including method development and validation, but also experience in running a quality management system, batch release, investigations, corrective actions etc.  From a non-technical aspect, you will have leadership experience with a proven track record in supporting and developing your team. You will highly communicative and actively engage with other departments to ensure the site maintains a positive and efficient cross-functional ability.
 
We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a science field, preferably Chemistry or Biochemistry
  • At least 5 years QA and QC (analytical chemistry) experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Supervisory, team leadership or team management experience
  • A solid understanding of a working QMS within a cGMP operation
  • A can do attitude and the ability to bring other along on your journey of improvement
  • A highly communicative personality where you encourage engagement between teams
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good report writing skills
  • Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised
