Lead commercial role on a large new residential development near Frankton, Queenstown for a boutique developer and builder. 

This niche developer builder has a successful track record of delivering large scale quality projects and fostering long term partnerships with their stakeholders and sub contractors. 

This new high end apartment project is just starting and we are recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take over the commercial management of around $40m of work,with more forward work load on the horizon. With the current person moving on to another role internally you will have a comprehensive handover and ongoing support as you take on what is a secure, autonomous and varied position.

With overall project responsibility for cost budgeting, management and reporting you will be involved from estimating and procurement of contractors through to cost control and contract administration and reporting. Its envisaged you will have the support of a Quantity surveyor and as the business expands in the Queenstown region your role could also grow in responsibility.

My client is seeking the following:

  • Extensive Quantity Surveying experience on large commercial or medium density residential projects
  • Good knowledge of NZ contracts and building methods
  • Self motivated and team focused
  • Proven problem solver who is open to ideas and challenging the norm 
  • Related Quantity Surveying qualifications 

This role is based in Queenstown and we seek applicants who are looking to live and work in the local region, this business has strong forward work load and can offer a long term career. 

On offer is a salary in the range of $150k – $180k plus a car / car allowance.
