Site Manager
I have an opportunity to join a leading, New Zealand-owned commercial construction company who are on the lookout for an experienced Site Manager to join their Wellington team.
Please Note: You must have previous New Zealand based construction experience to apply.
About the Role:
As a Commercial Site Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of commercial construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll coordinate trades, subcontractors, and site personnel, manage schedules, enforce health & safety standards, and liaise closely with clients and consultants. Your leadership will be key to driving progress, maintaining quality standards, and resolving onsite issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage site activities and coordinate subcontractors
Monitor progress against project timelines and budgets
Ensure all work meets building codes and health & safety regulations
Maintain strong communication with project managers, clients, and stakeholders
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial builds (new builds, fit-outs, and refurbishments)
Extensive experience with Concrete and Steel Structures
Solid understanding of NZ building codes and H&S regulations
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage timelines, resources, and budgets effectively
Trade qualification or relevant tertiary background (preferred but not essential)
