Projects are commercial grade and working with complex customers including delivering construction work in operating environments.

The Job
Reporting to an experienced Manager you will be a hands on Quantity Surveyor on your own projects, but also support the manger with day to day leadership of 2 quantity surveyors and develop their skills and expertise.

You will work mainly be on the delivery phase including procurement, sub-contract preparation, measurements, cost management, administering payments and variations and preparing cost reports.

A key part will be building excellent relationships with suppliers and clients and partnering your site delivery team to provide value engineering and contract support.

This is a a QS role with a balance of systems and resources to delivery quality project without the bureaucracy and layers of management to slow you down.

About you:

  • 5 to 10 years Quantity Surveying experience in New Zealand 
  • Experience working on a range of commercial grade construction projects
  • Knowledge of the New Zealand contracts and construction methods preferred 
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on fast paced and diverse projects. 
  • Experience in leading or managing a small team high desirable
  • Related Quantity Surveying qualifications
