My client, a well renowned, family run construction subcontractor, specialise in roofing, plumbing, gasfitting and drainage for commercial and residential developments across the lower North Island. Working with major main contractors on a variety of large-scale residential developments, sporting facilities, commercial/retail and community buildings amongst others. Here is a chance to join a close knit and well-established team whilst contributing to its success and future development.

The Role
They are seeking experienced roofers and/or roofing foremen with strong commercial construction experience to grow the team for a number of upcoming projects across the region.
There are multiple roles here, all hands on where you will be on the tools, but there are also positions at a foreman level with slightly more responsibility, where you would be supervising daily site operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and liaising with clients and site managers. The ideal person will have strong leadership skills, hands-on roofing experience, and the ability to manage teams to meet project deadlines efficiently.

Role Requirements:

  • Ideally 5+ years commercial project experience as a Roofer or Foreman
  • Excellent relationship building skills, a people person with outstanding levels or professionalism
  • Strong Health and Safety awareness and ability to maintain high standard
  • Autonomous – keen to hit the ground running and lead multiple team members
  • Decisive and efficient decision making with a flexible attitude
  • Champion of continuous improvement. Always looking at how to improve processes and procedures
  • Able to effectively communicate with everyone from the site team to external stakeholders or senior managers
