Project Engineer– Bulk Fuel Infrastructure

About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you will manage the full lifecycle of engineering projects—from concept to commissioning. You’ll deliver upgrades and maintenance to bulk fuel storage tanks, pipelines, and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as API 653.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, risk management, budgeting, and execution.
  • Manage contractors and service providers to deliver safe, compliant outcomes.
  • Oversee technical reviews including HAZOPs and HITRAs.
  • Ensure compliance with HSSE and other relevant standards.
  • Contribute to asset management planning and engineering documentation.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and drive continuous improvement.

What You Will Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering (mechanical, civil, or related).
  • Proven experience managing engineering projects in oil & gas, energy, or infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with API 653 tank inspection, repair, and maintenance standards.
  • Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent budgeting, reporting, and risk management capabilities.
  • A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with bulk liquid storage terminals or fuel infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and environmental compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with inspection technologies and asset integrity programmes.
