Work Schedule
You’ll be working night shift, Monday to Friday. Shift begins at 12:40am on Monday and you’ll finish the week at 8.40am on Friday.
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Process Leader to oversee night shift operations across two manufacturing areas. The position reports to the Production Manager.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. Most of your time will be spent on the floor, supervising multiple lines, resolving breakdowns or quality issues, and supporting leading hands across both areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead night-shift production activity across assigned lines, ensuring safety, quality, and output targets are met.
- Make fast, independent decisions to resolve quality concerns, breakdowns, and operational issues.
- Manage a team of 17 across two separated production areas.
- Maintain operational and quality documentation; ensure SOPs are accurate and consistently adhered to.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
- Champion Health & Safety expectations and promote strong compliance across the shift.
Skills and Experience
This role requires a confident, autonomous decision-maker who can manage complexity, maintain high production standards, and lead a diverse team. You’ll have excellent communication, and be comfortable working a permanent night shift
In addition, the successful candidate will have the following skills and experience.
- Minimum of three years’ leadership experience within manufacturing.
- Strong technical understanding of production processes, machinery, and food safety requirements.
- Proven ability to prioritise effectively and operate autonomously under pressure.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Confident with digital tools including Excel, ERP systems, and production monitoring software.
- A relevant trade qualification or technical degree (engineering beneficial but not essential).
