Site Manager – Wellington

I’m seeking an experienced Site Manager to join an established and well-respected commercial construction business in Wellington. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day site delivery on quality projects, working alongside an experienced Project Manager and commercial team.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to a high standard of workmanship, while leading subcontractors and site teams on a daily basis.

The Role

  • Lead and coordinate daily on-site construction activities
  • Manage subcontractors, site resources, and sequencing of works
  • Champion health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Maintain short-term programmes and monitor progress against milestones
  • Support commercial outcomes through accurate reporting, variations, and productivity tracking
  • Drive project completion, inspections, and defect rectification

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager (or strong Site Supervisor ready to step up)
  • Solid understanding of construction methodologies and site sequencing
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A proactive, organised approach to programme and safety management
  • Commitment to quality delivery and professional site culture
