This established construction business has decades of success operating across Papua New Guinea and due to a promotion is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a range of construction projects. 

Delivering work for both local government, offshore companies and major mining businesses the projects are varied across urban areas and remote challenging locations, requiring a hands-on leader with professional PM skills covering programming, planning, design coordination, contract management and site based delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the tender and pre-construction work
  • Programming and planning of projects
  • Supporting the procurement and managing complex logistics 
  • Maintaining strong safety and quality standards
  • Leading and developing the direct workforce and subcontractors. 
  • Lead PCG meeting and prepare monthly management reporting 

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Extensive Project Management experience on commercial / industrial projects
  • Degree or Diploma in Construction / Engineering preferred
  • Strong programming and planning skills
  • Confident with contract management
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and deliver strong commercial outcomes
  • Autonomous and self reliant
  • Experience working in developing countries or remote projects preferred
