Line Shift Leads

The Company
We are proud to be partnering with a leading dairy manufacturer based in South Auckland, specialising in early-life nutrition and widely regarded as an employer that invests in its people. With a strong reputation for supplying high-quality products across New Zealand, Australia, and Asia, our client is seeking two experienced Line Shift Leads to join their team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Line Lead, you will take ownership of shift performance across safety, quality, GMP, production delivery, equipment reliability, loss reduction, and team development. Leading from the front, you’ll set the daily direction for a team of 6–7 operators, coordinate production priorities, planned stops, and changeovers, and ensure clear communication of expectations and results.

While operational performance is important, this role has a strong people leadership focus. You’ll coach, mentor, and develop your team, building capability, accountability, and engagement while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. This is an opportunity for a genuine leader who can inspire their team to achieve more, rather than simply maintain the status quo.

There are currently two opportunities available:

  • Permanent Dayshift (5:45am – 6:00pm)
  • 12-Month Fixed-Term Nightshift (5:45pm – 6:00am)

Both roles operate on a rotating 2-2-3 roster, repeating fortnightly.

What Are We Looking For?
We’re looking for an experienced manufacturing leader with a background in food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated production environments. Experience working to strict quality, compliance, and traceability standards is highly desirable, as this role operates within a heavily regulated infant nutrition manufacturing facility where attention to detail and a quality-first mindset are essential.

You’ll be a strong communicator with the ability to coach, influence, and hold a team accountable for results. Comfortable working autonomously, you’ll bring strong problem-solving skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and the confidence to have challenging conversations around KPIs and performance when required. Most importantly, you’re a leader who enjoys developing people and inspiring teams to perform at their best.
