We are seeking to hire two Quality and Regulatory Compliance Officers to join our Hamilton-based team.

About the role
Reporting to the Quality and Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will support the Company’s customers, Customer Service team, and Sales team by providing documentation and advice related to customer onboarding, QA processes and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for the full cycle of analysing, organising, preparing, maintaining, and managing accurate and up-to-date product documentation.
You will work as part of a highly cross-functional team based in NZ, China, the USA, and Europe, and will communicate directly with customers around the globe.
We offer a remote work option for candidates outside of Hamilton, with monthly visits to the Hamilton office.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Your profile
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter who is looking for a role where they can make a difference and who is confident with the responsibilities that come with the position. You will also be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a strong customer focus.
Applicants should have the following attributes, qualifications and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Microbiology, Quality, Food Science, Food Technology, Applied Science, or a related field is required.
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the food ingredients or pharmaceutical industry, is preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable international regulations and standards, such as FSSC, BRC, ISO, Codex, HACCP, FDA, FSANZ, EU regulations, and Sedex, is preferred.
- Resourceful, quick learner with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly effective written and verbal scientific/technical communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- As our manufacturing plant is in China, fluency in Mandarin would be an advantage but is not essential.
This position may suit a recent graduate with relevant internship experience, a candidate seeking their first role in the industry, or a parent returning to the workforce. Candidates with more than two years of experience in a similar role within the food ingredient industry are also encouraged to apply.

Salary Range: NZD $65,000 – $73,000 per annum
