About the Role
This is an opportunity for a Senior or Intermediate Automation Engineer to join a successful and well-supported team. Depending on your experience and preferences, you may join either:
- The Projects Team, focused on large-scale automation projects from concept through to commissioning, or
- The Services Team, which supports key client sites with automation troubleshooting, optimisation, and smaller upgrade projects.
As an Automation Engineer, you’ll take industrial processes and machinery, and convert them into well-structured, reliable code across PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment with access to excellent tools and support systems.
Engineers in the Services Team typically participate in an on-call roster every 8 to 10 weeks, receiving:
- An on-call allowance, just for being available
- Additional pay for callouts (minimum 1.5 hours per event), even if the task is brief
Skills and Experience
We’re looking for engineers who bring a strong technical foundation and real-world automation experience. Ideally, you’ll have:
- A tertiary qualification in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, Software, or Process Engineering
- Solid understanding of industrial processes and automation logic
- Experience programming and configuring PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
- Proficiency in at least two major platforms:
Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, Omron, GE, or Citect - Background in industrial environments such as food & beverage, dairy, water, energy, or general manufacturing
- Familiarity with FAT, SAT, and commissioning

This is a full-time, permanent role – Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with flexibility required during commissioning periods or busy phases.
