Senior QS / Contracts Manager

This diverse and hands-on senior role is the key commercial role in the business but also supports project coordination to ensure projects are well planned and commercially successful. You’ll be responsible for estimates and cost plans for unique projects; challenging your problem solving and creative mindset, whilst nurturing positive relationships with consultants and clients.

With experienced and highly skilled craftsman led by a Site Manager and supported by long term sub-contractors, you will procure, plan and establish projects then support delivery through construction providing contract administration and project support.

With the current incumbent transitioning out of the business over a period of a few months this is a rare opportunity to step into an established, well-run business and enjoy a comprehensive handover.

You’ll be an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager with extensive New Zealand experience and the ability and confidence to provider wider project support, and thrive in a dynamic and influential role. 

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience in quantity surveying in New Zealand 
  • Indepth knowledge of high-end residential / architectural builds.
  • Excellent estimating and measuring experience across diverse projects 
  • Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
  • Experience or understanding of Project Management preferred
  • A hands on an collaborative approach
  • Proven ability to develop positive relationships with subcontractors and colleagues.
  • Exceptional communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
  • Related Quantity Surveying qualification, with NZIQS / MRICS preferred.
